In April 2022 OAW held an official groundbreaking for the Black Panther, a housing complex that will be 100% affordable and located at Seventh & Campbell Streets in West Oakland.  It’s comprised of 79 housing units for extremely low-income people, and is a green building, with nearly net-zero energy, accommodated by 16,000 square feet of solar panels on the roof.  West Oakland Farms will move to the second level of the complex, and sell its produce to the ground floor grocery store and restaurant businesses.
